Spring break is cool if you are out of town: Mustique, Negril, Rio, shit even visiting aging relatives in Florida is/was good for this MOTHER or anyone needing to start the new season off in a warmer climate. My son actually has 2 weeks off so we are in back New York this week.

Sunday we welcomed a surprise visit from my darling niece and sister here in Greenpoint with a nice brunch at Le Gamin.

River has a no city on weekends policy which is sometimes enforced over school holidays as well, so we kicked it local, literally on foot. We stopped in at The Word. Showing off our fancy neighborhood and the cherry blossoms.

There was a time when sister didn’t feel safe walking around in this MOTHERs neighborhood but now its hopping here and high end establishments are beginning to pop up literally around the corner from the crib.
