The investigation or self study begins with the question- Who am I? Why am I here? and How do I attain and sustain ultimate health and happiness?
After a few years of practicing I had a realization of my essence.
MOTHER LOVER ARTIST
I came to social media 3 years ago about the same time I began to practice ashtanga yoga Mysore style. cut to the recent past -I responded to a post about Artists not being paid for their work with a statement that mothers and lovers were in a similar position. Someone cheekily replied that I was a ‘mother- fucker’ and just like that the conversation was sensored – removed from facebook. Hmmm. Someone else is watching and controlling the ultimate output. Creepy. Its time for me to get centered, take ownership, become whole, start to blog.
Yes I am a MOTHER. I have one son. He is the person I always dreamed of accompanying me in my life.I worked so hard to get him into the right school for him and the year that I began the search for his kindergarten was also the beginning of this spiritual quest of yoga self discovery and union.
After I dropped him at school I would ask the universe to reveal itself and often it did. I began taking iphone photos of found text / grafiti that would appear to me as i explored my new found freedom along the path, posting them serially on my facebook page. The common belief is that Facebook owns all the material that an individual posts on their page so I started a Tumblr blog. I linked this to a twitter account.
Besides having a fairly schizoid web presence I am also a LOVER– mainly men and music (and practicing yoga and spending money that I dont’t have). I love seeing live music and avidly go to shows.- I began another Tumblr blog as a collection of videos from concerts that I was attending. But since it wasn’t my primary blogspot I don’t think anyone has ever visited the site.

Cut to the recent past, My friend and fellow mum asked me for some advice for starting a blog called “what we like”, I took inspiration!
Hence mother lover artist a blog about Me, Gwen Smith, was born!

Id love to be the music gig person but seriously I am feeling very make your own blog illiterate and I fully understand why old people lose jobs to the young tech savvy generation…

Oscar was playing black keys to us oldies today. they rock. It took me 5 days of full obsessive I will not be beaten pig headedness to work out wordpress but I’ve got it figured. Come over to my place on a rainy day next week, kids can play and I’ll show you what I’ve worked out.
